STATEMENT

“Matter is condensed light"

My work explores the strength of topography and natural territory, which I see as a living mantle of energy in constant motion. I'm fascinated by the epidermal stratification wrought by time, the telluric language that emerges, presses, gravitates, and reveals itself through the landscape.

In my artistic approach, I aim to cover different scales, from the massiveness of mountains and rocks to their decanting process and fragmentation, and down to the stone as the basic unit. I am drawn to the matter as a condensation of light and its process of transformation and expansion of energy over time. To me, the material world is weighty and dense, yet it has the capacity to return to the origin, releasing energy as it does so.

Through my work, I seek to reveal the innate beauty of the natural world, while exploring the fundamental forces that shape it. By embracing the power of the topography, I hope to inspire a deeper connection with the earth and the energy that sustains us all.
